Since the 1970s I have been an audio & music enthusiast, worked in pro sound installation, & still buy CDs/records

I built this site in response to the questions new enthusiasts often ask on Reddit.

The aim is to provide simple to understand and up to date information.

I don't claim to be an expert as I am still learning after 50+ years, so the advice is merely based on what I have learned & experienced.
