Spray or fluid cleaning records before each play is pointless and can cause problems
Generally new records from reputable record pressing plants are clean and so do not require the use of cleaning fluid or sprays. If you purchased one of those cleaning kits with fluid/spray and brush/cloth then I suggest you cease using it.
These sort of kits are ineffective and usually cause trouble like gunk build up on the record and stylus. Trust me I have had over 50 years of keeping records and know from experience.
Where is all this dirt coming from that needs cleaning so often? You don’t need to be cleaning records with fluids or sprays before each play or ever. If you do buy used records, then wet wash them with a Spinclean or RCM once and that is it. Take care of your records by only having them out for playing, and do not touch the playing surface with your fingers. Put back in jacket immediately after play.
If you do this, how are they going to get dirty? Sure they may get a little surface dust which is in the air, but that is easily removed before play with an Anti Static Carbon Fibre Brush. There is normally no need to be doing anything else.
See my simple approach using a dry brush and a Spinclean which has served me very well.
If a record has noise like crackles and pops it is often permanently there due to pressing imperfections or mistreatment so cleaning may not remove it. However if you buy lots of used records it can be worthwhile investing in an RCM (Record Cleaning Machine) but they are not essential for a beginner.
Note that in some cases random popping sounds can be caused by electrostatic build up being discharged as the record plays. Many people, including me use a Milty Zerostat 3 gun to remove static. It must be used without the testing cap fitted. To use, place record on platter and spin up. Hold gun about 20cm above record and s l o w l y squeeeze and s l o w l y release trigger. If you hear clicking you are doing it too fast.
